STATEMENT BY THE NATIONAL PRESS CLUB ON THE DISSAPEARANCE OF JOURNALIST ASERIE NDLOVU AND HIS PARTNER ZODWA MDHLULI
The National Press Club (NPC) calls upon members of the public to assist the police in solving the distressing case of the missing journalist and media practitioner, Aserie Ndlovu, and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli.
It’s twelve days since their disappearance and we would like to assure the families of our continued support.
Aserie Ndlovu, a valued committee member of the National Press Club and the founder of Capital Live SA FM 99.0 FM, has been missing since February 18, 2025.
Ndlovu was last seen leaving Denlyn Mall in Mamelodi on Tuesday, February 18, around 18:00. He was reportedly wearing blue jeans, a blue and white long-sleeve shirt, and Nike sneakers.
Tragically, Ndlovu’s partner, Zodwa Mdhluli, is also reported missing. This is worrisome as much as it is painful especially since we are still to hear of positive leads that will help law enforcement agencies of our country to help solve this case.
We urge all our communities to help the distressed families of Aserie and Zodwa, whose disappearance has caused too much anguish to respective families and friends.
Police are working with private sector security companies as well to crack this case.
The NPC acknowledges the assistance of the office of the Deputy Provincial Commissioner: Crime Detection Gauteng, Major General Mbuso Khumalo and his detectives, the Tshwane District Commissioner Major General Samuel Thine and the Mpumalanga Detectives in particular KwaMhlanga Colonel Johannes Kgomo and his detectives, the intelligence officers under Major General Josias Lekalakala.
We urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Aserie Ndlovu and Zodwa Mdhluli to come forward and assist the authorities in their investigation.
